What is the ONE on ONE Program?
The One-on-One Program serves Bay, Gulf, and Franklin Counties. The Welfare Transition Program provides pre and post job placement services to individuals who are receiving Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (welfare). Our Services include career planning workshops, activities, childcare, transportation, one time assistance with rent and/or utilities, and individualized counseling. One-on-One is a great success story that we believe should be implemented all across the state of Florida and beyond. Federal Bonding – The Federal Bonding Program (FBP), sponsored by the US Department of Labor, has been around since 1966 and serves as an incentive for employers to hire at-risk job seekers. It uses federal financing of Fidelity Bond insurance to guarantee job honesty and serves as an incentive for hiring hard-to-place job seekers. Employers receive the bonds free of charge with no deductible. Work Opportunity Tax Credits – The Work Opportunity Tax Credits (WOTC) provides Federal Income Tax Credits to private sector employers to encourage the hiring of individuals from target groups. Targeted job seekers include recipients of AFDC or TANF, veterans, ex-felons, designated community residents, vocational rehabilitation referrals, summer youth employees, food stamp recipients, supplemental security income (SSI) recipients, and long term welfare recipients.
